I’ve done the Wednesday blog thingy now I want to try my hand at the Super Savings Saturday.

I probably could’ve done better but I was tired and hungry, I know what you’re thinking, shopping while hungry is not a good thing. Anyways I went to CVS to get the Speed Stick deodorant deal and the SoftSoap deal early since my store starts them at 6pm.

I did 2 transactions since I wanted to use the deodorant ECB’s towards the SoftSoap deal.

Trip 1

6 Speed Stick Irish Spring
4 Lady Speed Stick 24/7 (mens 24/7 were excluded)

After coupons and previous ECB’s I paid $6.50 and received $15 ECB’s back! So I still managed to get more than I paid out which is fine with me.

Trip 2

5 SoftSoap Spa body wash
1 240ct CVS Wipes

After coupons and ECB’s I paid $2.19 and received $24.95 ECB’s back!

What’s in your bag of bargains?

This is my very first Works for Me Wednesday blog, I hope did good.

I recently found this little gem of an item after a discussion with my hubby about my forgetfulness. Lord knows he’s a patient man, I don’t know how he has such patience, I sure don’t.

Anyhow, this gem is of course FREE, it helps me keep track of appointments, chores that need to be done, shopping items that are low and other basic calendar/organizer functions. Heck you can even take advantage of a family blog, text message the kids to make sure they are home or doing their homework, this thing is a great time saver and reminder! You can login via the website, download it to your desktop and synch the calendar with Outlook. Each family member gets their own log in as well.

Today I didn’t really do much as I try to consider it my free day, meaning I don’t really do much of anything. Then came the freebies that just couldn’t wait! I stopped at Walgreen’s and picked up 2 packs of Olay body/beauty bars for $4 since I had several $2 off coupons so I got 2 packs for FREE plus they gave me $4 in Register Rewards to use next time! I also had DH do this offer since he was picking up his meds there, another $4 in Register Rewards for that FREE purchase! Then I had to stop at Albertson’s since I saw they had $2/2 coupons for Fresh Express salads which Safeway had on sale for $1, I got 8 bags of salad for FREE there! Saw another Walgreen’s across the street and got another $4 in Register Rewards for the Olay deal. Drove down to Safeway to get the FREE salads I mentioned then hit the Walgreen’s across the street for $4 in Register Rewards one last time!

So I got the following for FREE not including the $1.32 I paid in taxes:

8 bags of Fresh Express salad
8 2pks of Olay body/beauty soap bars
