Is it frugal or green?

Whether you’re into being frugal or attempting to be “green”, reusable bags are the way to go these days. I don’t know about you but in my city we cannot recycle plastic bags, we can take them back to the store for them to recycle but lets be honest most people like me tend to forget to take them. So I started looking around and I knew I could get cute reusable grocery bags but I still had that pesky plastic bag problem to deal with in the produce section.

I came across this totally by accident while looking at another bargain site, I wish I could remember what site it was that led me to the solution but either way I am very thankful for a post I saw at WiseBread by Myscha regarding an Eco Hack for produce bags! Now I’m not one for sewing, heck I can barely cut a straight line let alone attempt to make my own bag but Myscha gave us non Martha Stewart types a really frugal and green option! I went to my local Dollar Tree and found this cute little pack of 4 reusable Tidy Totes for just $1.00! I grabbed 2 packs and might get more since they had tons of these in stock.

So now I have my cute reusable grocery bags that I got from various stores and my new pretty green mesh reusable produce bags to take along when I go shopping.

Thanks Myscha for giving readers more than one option on the Eco Hack, though I wish I could sew so I could have a really pretty produce bag. :)

That is great I will check it out but I have also found a site which sells not only designer bags but also produce bags (I think that is what they call them) and these also have been fantastic. They are at http://www.bangalla.com, this site also has other good green items that we are now a very green family. I love it and thanks for the link to another site.
